Maryke Rossouw is a dynamic, driven physiotherapist with a passion for helping people regain their health and quality of life. She began her journey studying Sport Science at the University of Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA, on an athletic scholarship. As a competitive track athlete, she discovered the value of having a supportive team in both performance and recovery, and developed a deep appreciation for the outdoors.
Upon returning to South Africa, Maryke completed her BSc Physiotherapy degree at the University of Pretoria (TUKS) in 2013. She went on to complete her BASI Pilates certification and a postgraduate qualification in Sports Physiotherapy, equipping her to expertly assess, treat, and rehabilitate sport-specific injuries. During this time, she also developed a keen interest in vestibular rehabilitation—addressing vertigo, dizziness, balance issues, and post-concussion syndromes. This expanded her expertise to not only sports injuries, but also conditions affecting geriatrics, young adults, and occupational health, including back pain, neck pain, and headaches.
Maryke takes a holistic, hands-on approach to every session, believing that a person is never just an injury. She places equal importance on physical recovery, mental well-being, and long-term health.
Outside the clinic Maryke enjoys hiking, running, painting, photography and seeking out quality coffee. Her dog is a much-loved companion, and her love for animals and nature shines through in her work with people as well.
